In this third video in the log cabin sequence, I clear the cabin web site of timber and underbrush, transfer two massive cedars into place for basis logs and make a sizzling lunch on my new bushbuddy range.
On the first two days, the temperatures is chilly, lower than -20C with windchill. On the third day, the temperature rises to some levels above freezing and I’ve to take away layers to remain cool whereas working.
The trout stream is opening up and there are rabbits running round in every single place, consuming the tops of the timber as I lower them down.
I’ve now spent 23 hours on the log cabin, most of that point spent chopping down timber, trimming branches and chopping the timber into logs for the cabin.
