Saints RB Kamara faces $10M lawsuit on top of felony charge

etradefactory.comA lawsuit filed this week against New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara seeks $10 million in damages and a jury trial in connection with an assault in Las Vegas over Pro Bowl weekend. Kamara is already facing charges of alleged assault against Darnell Greene Jr., who left a club at a hotel and casino around 6:30 a.m. on February 5. Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Chris Lammons has also been charged along with Darrin Young and Percy Harris.

The lawsuit, filed Friday in the Orleans Civil Court, includes photos of surveillance footage at the hotel and casino, as well as a photo of Greene after the beating and details of the police report. Greene was punched in the face and stomped near an elevator and was unconscious for “more than two minutes”. The lawsuit alleges that Kamara “deliberately used force against [Greene] to cause actual harm.” Greene’s orbital lobe was fractured and he suffered severe injuries to his shoulder, back, head, knees, face and neck, the lawsuit says. Kamara’s agent, Brad Cicala, declined to comment on the lawsuit, NOLA.com reported. Greene is represented by Houston law firm Buzbee, which has also been involved in the numerous lawsuits filed against Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson, and New Orleans-based law firm Garner & Munoz.
