etradefactory.com – Keaira Hudson, a mother of three from Buffalo, New York, was shot dead in her SUV Wednesday morning. The shocking murder of her comes just days after she posted a video of her husband beating her on social media.
Her sister Montaysha Jeter told her outlet that the 30-year-old had had an abusive marriage to a man named Adam Bennefield and was staying with her mother at the time because she feared her life for her. Her sister shared that she had even planned to go to court to thwart her request for custody of their children, saying:
“She’s been staying at my mom’s house for the last couple of days and she was going to go to court today because he was trying to get custody.”
However, Keaira never went to court on Wednesday. Her family said she was so afraid of what Adam would do that she put on a flak jacket before leaving the house to accompany her three children to school in the morning. Montaysha said their mother had asked Keaira why she was putting on the jacket that day and she claimed that the victim replied: “Because she will kill me, you don’t understand.” Oh. No one should ever be so afraid of leaving their home – and because of their partner? Our hearts break from what this woman must have been through. And sadly, we now know she was right…

Montaysha recalled that just as Keaira turned the corner that day, Adam “reportedly crashed into the front of his car and got out of the car with a rifle, shot her and walked away. left”. A former boyfriend and father of one of Keaira’s children, Andrew Hodge, said their daughter had been in the car and witnessed the death of her mother. Horrible.
As previously mentioned, this murder occurred after Keaira posted a disturbing video in which she was repeatedly punched by her husband on her Facebook before fleeing to her mother’s house. She titled the clip at the time:
Adam was sued Tuesday in the Cheektowaga District Court for a third-degree assault count, two fourth-degree felony counts, a second-degree threat count, a second-degree wrongful imprisonment count, and a second-degree harassment count. However, the district attorney’s office said he was released by his own admission, as the charges were eligible for bail. While Adam was released, prosecutors called for a temporary protective order to force him to stay away from Keaira. And, well, we all know what happened the next morning …
At this point, the police are still trying to locate Adam for questioning.
