Halloween is a bit of over a month away, which suggests spooky season is upon us — and meaning it’s time for some horror films. One of the new flicks due out in time for the massive day is Hulu’s reboot of Clive Barker’s basic Hellraiser. Based on the primary trailer, the new iteration appears to retain the combination of seduction and scares that made the unique so distinct, with some very satisfying puzzle field scenes thrown in as effectively.
The reboot is directed by David Bruckner and will function Sense8 star Jamie Clayton taking over the function of Pinhead. According to the official description, the new Hellraiser will observe “a younger girl fighting habit” who “comes into possession of an historic puzzle field, unaware that its function is to summon the Cenobites, a gaggle of sadistic supernatural beings from one other dimension.” Barker, the sequence creator, will function a producer.
Hellraiser will begin streaming on Hulu on October seventh.
