BARCELONA have left new signings Hector Bellerin and Marcos Alonso out of their Champions League squad.

It comes after the full-backs sealed late transfers to the membership from Arsenal and Chelsea respectively.

Barcelona boss Xavi defined his reasoning behind the omissions.

“They are two signings, they need to get used to what we’re doing,” he advised reporters.

“They haven’t had minutes this season and they want a bit extra bodily work. Saturday they are going to be within the squad.”
